Bobcat Skid Steer Loader Warranty Claim Denied! I bought a Bobcat S185 10/15/08. It has only 289 hours on it. The engine was severely damaged due to low oil pressure. I did nothing to this machine to cause this to happen and have always maintained this machine according to the owners manual. The Bobcat rep Eric is blaming me and denying my warranty claim. First he claimed It was either flipped over or got water into the engine – neither of those have happened to this machine! I can prove it was never off its wheels by looking at the machine! Now he is claiming it was at too steep of an angle and sucked up air in the oil pickup. The first time it indicated a low oil pressure condition it was sitting just outside the barn door idling after unloading 5 pallets off of a delivery truck. BUYER BEWARE! Bobcat has a good reputation for reliability – but beware if you ever have a problem and need warranty service. Now I’m responsible for an $8, 000.00 repair bill to replace the engine that I didn’t damage and they are refusing to cover under the warranty. It will be replaced by a JD or Case!! Bobcat is currently owed by a Korean Corp!!!
